Cocoa Village Store (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image) One of Brevard County Florida's jewels is the tiny restored downtown of Cocoa Village. Old buildings have been refurbished. Galleries, gift & clothing shops abound. Everything from fine dining to side walk cafes provide the visitor with a wide range of choices for dining. As an architecture buff, Cocoa Village is a feast of design. Preserving the old buildings gives the area the real feel of a hometown shopping district. Cocoa Village sponsors numerous events through out the year and for the visitor to the area, it is a must see. Galdo Alley (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image)

Morning Devotions (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image) High in the mountains of Italy, tiny towns are tucked away, seemingly untouched by modern society. Streets are winding and narrow, barely room for a car (and a very small one at that) to negotiate. Neighbors sit on front steps and visit. Tucked away from the street, in a private courtyard, an elderly woman spends time with her Lord. (Painting: 14.5" x 22") Breaking the Stroke Barrier (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image)

Save The Last Dance For Me (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image) This painting was part of the Brevard Watercolor Society's "Watercolours of Olde Brevard" Show and took First Place in the Architectural Division. The scene is what used to be Clarke's Corner in what was known at the time as Indian River City, Florida. The building was a multi purpose facility housing the dance hall, a realtor's office, the terminal for the bus service to Orlando, a tea room and an ice cream parlor. Unfortunately, the structure no longer remains. (Painting: 14" x 22") Summer Time at the Shore (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image)

We'll Keep the Light on For You! (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image) Pre 9/11/01 the Kennedy Space Center (FL) used to open up the grounds every other year to Brevard County residents. It was an opportunity to drive around the grounds and see sights that normally were off-limits. One of these sites is this historic lighthouse. There are efforts now underway to raise money for restoring the old building. The fact that it is on the grounds of the Space Center makes visiting the lighthouse difficult. Shown in the background is the fading vapor trail of a Shuttle launch. The old lighthouse stands as the beacon to welcome our space travelers home.
